While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I experienced behind its threshold was disturbing and far below any standard .
The State of Affairs: Filthy and Abandoned
From the moment I entered , it was evident that upkeep was not a priority at this venue. The floors were sticky , and a nauseating aroma of stale beer and filthy restrooms polluted the entire bar . Emitting a scent of a mixture of ammonia , old age and a sickly smell. The counter , which should be the focal point of any pub, was littered with unwashed glassware and refuse that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks . The toilet was in even worse condition — clogged , with a broken handle and walls stained in what I can only assume was human waste .
It wasn’t just a one-off bad night either. Going through other patrons’ reviews and speaking with locals , it seems that the level of hygiene (or lack thereof) at this bar is a long-standing issue .
